Like all Canadian businesses and consumers, we have experienced many increased costs. However, we are committed to providing excellent value while continuing to prioritize the high quality of service you rightfully expect from us. We have done our best to minimize these increases, as we know that much is being asked of everyone during these challenging economic times.
Daycare Pricing
Daycare costs are increasing by approximately $1 per day.
ONE DOG:

10 full day pass: $290.00 ($29 / daily)
20 full day pass: $540.00 ($27 / daily)
30 full day pass: $750.00 ($25 / daily)
Partial day (under 4 hours): $22.99

Pricing for Boarding
The following boarding rates will be effective February 1st, 2023. Reservations made prior to February 1st, 2023 for boarding stays up to December 31st, 2023 will be honoured at the 2022 rates in place at the time of the booking.

Jollytails Resort is proud to be one of the only boarding facilities in the Halifax area that provides live, on-site staffing with a trained staff member, 24-hours per day.

Food & Pet Products
Our suppliers continue to experience increased costs in their manufacturing which unfortunately, results in higher prices for some products. We are committed to providing a range of safe, high-quality options in our store at price points that are convenient for our clients. If you’d like to discuss options for feeding or other doggy supply needs, please speak with one of our retail team members. We’d be happy to discuss options that are right for you and your budget.
More Aeroplan Points Offered
We are pleased to announce an increase in our Aeroplan rewards program. Effective February 1st, 2023, 1 (one) Aeroplan point will be issued for every $2 spent on all transactions excluding boarding charges.
Please sign up for the Aeroplan program if you haven’t yet, as it offers great travel and shopping rewards. Aeroplan can also be collected at Amazon, Starbucks, Uber, Best Buy and many other retailers.
Overnight Boarding Price List
Prices effective May 1st, 2022
Reservations made before January 15th, 2023 for boarding up to and including July 31st, 2023 will be honoured at previous rates.
One Dog $59+HST per night
Two Dogs* $108+HST per night
Three Dogs* $145+HST per night
* Boarding clients are strongly encouraged to check-in before 1:00 PM.
* Check-out time is 2:00pm (after 2:00pm, daycare service fees apply)
* Extended stay rates available for dogs staying at the resort for 10 or more consecutive days. Contact us for more details.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy
The following deposit and cancellation policy applies to bookings of three days or greater, as well as to all bookings during these peak periods:
· February Break
· March Break
· Easter Weekend
· Summer Season (June 1 – August 31)
· Holiday Season (December 15 – January 3)
The boarding deposit is equivalent to one night’s stay (currently $54 plus HST for one pet). Cancellations received seven or more days in advance are eligible for a full refund or credit for future use. Deposits are non-refundable for no-shows and for cancellations later than seven days in advance.
Deposits during the periods above are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Bookings for periods of greater than two weeks may require a deposit of 25% of the total. Please contact us for details.
Early boarding departures may be subject to an early departure charge equal to 50% of the remainder of the stay.
Our deposit and cancellation policy is subject to change without notice. We will confirm any deposit requirements at the time that you make your reservation.
Jollytails Refund Policy
Daycare packages: Daycare packages will be refunded at cost of package paid minus days used (charged at full daily rate). An additional charge of $50 will be charged for one dog / 10 day packages; and a $100 charge for all other packages. Daycare refunds will not be issued after one year of inactivity.
Group training: Class deposits are non-refundable. We will refund the cost of training (minus deposit) at the end of the first class if you are dissatisfied with the course. No refunds will be issued after attending 2 or more classes.
Food: All food will be refunded in full, within 30 days, provided you bring back the original bag or frozen box, including UPC, along with at least 50% of the contents of the bag.
Collars, toys, harnesses and other retail products: Full refunds will be issued for unopened and undamaged products within 10 days of purchase. While we provide the strongest and best dog products on the market, we cannot be responsible if you do not supervise your dog and the product becomes damaged. Speak with us about what products are best for your dog.
Jollytails Late Pick Up Fee
Supervising dogs at Jollytails Resort is something that we love to do. Once daycare closes, staff are busy getting meals ready for overnight guests and getting them settled for the evening. In an effort to discourage late pick-ups, and so that staff may focus on the comfort of overnight guests, we apply the following fees for late pick-ups. Fees collected from late pick-up are donated to the Nova Scotia SPCA.
Up to 15 minutes: $10.00 late fee
15 to 30 minutes: $15.00 late fee
After 30 minutes: if we cannot reach you or your emergency contacts, your dog will be safely boarded with us at regular boarding rates plus daycare fees.
