Local Small Business Offers Incentive to Vaccinated Customers

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia – Jollytails Resort, a local facility providing pet care and products is offering customers a discount on their purchase with proof of a first dose of any Covid-19 vaccination.

Effective immediately and until July 1st, 2021, customers who present proof of their first dose of vaccine will receive 10% off their retail purchase of any in-store products.

Kevin Schulz, Director of Operations for Jollytails Resort says this initiative is the business’s way of supporting the vaccination effort and acknowledging the sacrifice that has been made by so many healthcare and other essential workers in the fight against the global pandemic.

“We are very fortunate that our business is able to remain open and provide essential services to our customers, many of whom are themselves providing an essential service to our community.  This is not something that we take for granted.  Many of our clients are healthcare and other essential workers who are on the front lines of the fight against Covid-19, and we are committed to supporting them in their personal sacrifices.  This includes adhering to public health orders and encouraging Nova Scotians to roll up their sleeves for vaccination when it’s their turn.  The sooner we reach the critical level of vaccination necessary to protect our community, the sooner we can begin our return to new normal.”

As an independently owned, small business, Jollytails Resort is among many Nova Scotia businesses feeling the impact of Covid-19 measures.  However, the business recognizes and supports the vital steps that Public Health must take to protect Nova Scotians.

Resort Manager Lindsay Gates says that customers who use the services of Jollytails Resort appreciate the efforts of staff in making sure that they remain safe during these challenging times.

“Customers thank us every day for being open and taking the necessary steps to stay Covid safe.  They are nurses, front line workers, people who need the services of Jollytails Resort to keep their pets healthy and safe while they themselves are on the front lines risking their own health and safety.  By encouraging everyone to get their vaccination we are doing our part to help with the final push in the battle against Covid-19.”

Conveniently located in Bayers Lake Business Park, Jollytails Resort is a full-service facility that provides short and long-term boarding, daycare, grooming and training for dogs.  Essential, high-quality food, accessories, treats and toys are available for dogs and cats in a boutique-style store setting.  Highly trained and knowledgeable staff provide advice and guidance on nutrition, training and products to keep your pet healthy, safe and happy.

Jollytails Resort is a locally owned independent business employing more than 15 full-time staff members.
